Nestled in a quiet corner of the Laguna Complex lies the peaceful sanctuary that is Villa Salafa. From the moment we arrived, we knew our stay would be a special one.
Situated directly opposite Bang Tao Beach, Villa Salafa puts a focus on sun, sand and sea. With three double bedrooms (my incredible morning view pictured on the left) on the second story facing the ocean, not only does the sound of the waves lapping leave you feeling serene, but the chance to see the sunset over the ocean every night is pretty spectacular too. There are also a further 2 twin bedrooms upstairs and another downstairs, which gives this property a total of 6 bedrooms and the ability to sleep 12. Each bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom. My bed was incredible – so comfortable and the linen was a high quality as well as beautiful down pillows. Air conditioning in each room also meant that I never had trouble with being too hot in the Phuket heat.
There has been no detail left out at Villa Salafa. This villa comes complete with a private chef, housekeeper and driver. All of the staff, Bee, Noon and Kim, are absolutely lovely and ensure that you do not have to lift a finger in your time here. In fact, despite the fact it took 2 of them and I could’ve done it by myself, they wouldn’t even let me carry my heavy suitcase upstairs! Even small details such as ample wardrobe space, robes in each room and even hair-dryers have been thought of.
Each morning, a cooked breakfast is ready and waiting on the outdoor table so you can take in your beautiful surroundings as you eat. In-house cook, Bee, is a vibrant and fun Thai woman who will cook anything you request. Her usual breakfast for me included poached eggs, grilled tomatoes, bacon, smoked salmon and an incredible fruit platter. The fruit in Thailand is to die for; especially their pineapple and mango! Making an effort to enjoy Thai food as much as possible during my stay, I usually would request a Thai meal for my dinner. During my stay, I got to enjoy a delicious traditional Pad Thai as well as an incredible Coconut Chicken Soup.

Amazing Fruit Platter
However if you did feel like heading out for a bite, nearby amenities included beach bars, restaurants and the popular boat avenue shopping strip. Pagan and I had a chance to head out to Cut Restaurant which I would highly recommend too. Nothing could beat Bee’s home-cooked meals though! Villa Salafa is also a short distance from the trendy Surin Beach, and around 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Patong. We felt as though we didn’t need, or want, to leave throughout our entire stay though, with everything we needed there.
One of my favourite features had to be the incredible swing chair overlooking the beautiful 15m pool. I spent a lot of time blissed out on the swing chair; reading, working and just being. Because Villa Salafa is in a gated community, not only is it safe and secure but it’s also quiet and calm. This gave Pagan and I a real chance at total relaxation.
In all honesty, I spent most of my time between the swing chair, my luxurious bedroom and the pool. Or at the fridge with Bee’s endless supply of cut up fruit.
Needless to say I had a magical stay at Villa Salafa and three nights there definitely wasn’t enough.
Every moment was a pleasure and I am hopeful to return again in future, I just loved my experience so much.

Hey Elora.
Another great review!
Just wondering if you could also add in other details like.
Location, how to get there (transport or pick up options etc )
Whats near by and transport options (e.g bus? Taxi? Bike?
Thanks for the time you put into these.
Hey Lise! As mentioned in the article, Villa Salafa is at Bang Tao Beach and there is a driver with the property. Bang Tao Beach is very handy to the airport but nice, quiet and relaxing. E x
Thank you!
