2015 was a big year for me, but I always knew that 2016 was going to be even bigger and better! What I didn’t dream of was having the opportunity to write and publish my very first book.
Shortly after moving to Perth, I received a phone call that lead me to the chance to do something I had always dreamed of; writing my own book! I have always loved writing and I truly believe that that is one of the major reasons that The Shrinking Violet has done so well on Facebook – I am passionate and love what I do. I also love helping others, inspiring and also cooking.
At first my book was going to be a recipe book which was a total dream come true. So much so, that I was disappointed at first when my publisher decided to take it in a new direction. However as time went on, I fell in love with the book I had created and it was totally me! Instead of just a recipe book, I got to write about my colourful life. Not only my experiences with weight gain and weight loss, but also what my life was like growing up and even my experience with plastic surgery after weight loss. Along with a biographical adventure, you also get my personal tips on beginning your health and weight loss journey, staying motivated and what to do once you reach maintenance stage. It really is a one stop shop!
I already have learned so much more since finishing this book – which I wrote in a record 3 months whilst still working full time – and I can’t wait to get the opportunity to write another.
