These Fish Bites are great for kids and adults alike! I don’t eat fish often enough, but when I do, there really is nothing quite like fish bites.
I came up with this recipe when experimenting with ways to get more fish into my diet and it was a real winner.
Served with aioli or homemade tartare sauce, this recipe is sure to please.

Ingredients
- 1 fillet firm white fish such as snapper, cod or hoki
- 1 egg lightly whisked
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1 tbsp tapioca or arrowroot
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp Coconut oil for shallow frying

Instructions
- Start by cutting your firm white fish into bite sized chunks
- Place your almond meal, tapioca, garlic powder, salt and pepper into a bowl and stir to combine. Place your egg into a seperate bowl
- Dunk each piece of your fish into the egg, ensuring it is fully submerged. Remove and roll in your almond meal mix until completely coated. Repeat with all pieces of fish
- For a thicker coating, repeat step 3
- Heat your coconut oil in a small fry pan until hot
- Place each piece of fish in gently (the oil should sizzle if its the right temperature) and fry on each side until golden
- Drain on a paper towel, and then serve with your favourite dipping sauce and salad!
